Here are the points, good and bad.
The Tri-Star is the machine harder, you can buy. Older models have an aluminum-magnesium case. Newer models with a body, the resin isdurable as a bowling ball.
The old models of Tri-Star a 7 amp motor. These engines are big, powerful, and all metal parts. We have Tri-Star more than 30 years, can be seen perfectly. Metal engines last a long time. The latest models of Tri-Star had a 12 amp motor. This is also an engine all-metal, but is still smaller than the older engines. When I asked the company, said it was easier to do on the machine.
